The Brave One AKA Panic Train...who's seen it? It's much better than Panic Plane or whatever that last one she did was.
There are many parts that are morally questionable, but I think that's what made it so engaging. She's one of the few actors that I will see whatever they put out as soon as it's released. What do y'all think? [Edited 9/19/07 17:45pm]

Bottom line: You're kind of hot. Only kind of? How was the interview? It was humerus in parts of it. She was explain, introspectively, why she ended up going back to roles where women are in peril. She was also talking about some project she had just finished which involved a kid's tale, and how she was delighted cause her child(I forget if it was plural or not) could finally go to the set and see. She seemed awfully humble for being the caliber actress that she is.

Jodie is one of the few actors whose presence in a film such as The Brave One will compel me to watch it. It is very much in the mold of Death Wish, but she does add an element of tension and moral ambiguity that works.
I still think, however, her character seemed too young for her. And, I don't say that often about an actor.

I went to see in on a 'date', and I'll say it makes a great date movie. But Chow Yeng Fet not picking up a sword and kicking somebody's ass is a waste of a good Chow Yeng Fet (sp?).

The just getting married part made her character seem quite young, but at least her job made her somewhat age appropriate.

I thought she was excellent in this movie, as well as terrance howard (oh my..hes CUTE)
you really need to be in the mood for this type of movie. the opening scene where they get mugged was pretty brutal, i found myself looking away. I dont usually go for movies like death wish, but this one sucked me in~~

I was thinking her carriage and posture, dress, pending marriage to a much younger dude, even the sketch done of her later in the film -- all these things suggest a woman in her 30s. Her on-air persona was the only thing that seemed fortysomething.

Loved it. Awesome.
Panic Bank wasn't that good, though. Could've been tightened up a lot. And I think I'm sick of Denzel showing up on a set and doing the same routine in every movie. Plus, the only character that was likeable in the whole thing was the bank robber. "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran
