I thought Townsend did alright in his years. Hollywood Shuffle, Eddie Murphy: RAW, Five Heartbeats and of course Robert Townsend's Partners in Crime.

He was part of "the Black Pack" along with Keenen, Paul Mooney, Arsenio Hall and the main attraction Eddie Murphy.

What was his role in Raw - I thought Keenan directed that confused

Yea, he had a good run. But after the Five HB & Partners in Crime he got corny FAST (not that he wasn't always corny, but he was still funny so it was okay). I didn't follow him into that tv show & whatever else he's been doing.

That was awesome. I am a big fan of Robert Townsend. What was the name of the show that they had on HBO or Showtime back in the late 80s early 90s called? And they had the soap opera style show "The Big, the Bold, the Beautiful" or something like that.

Robert was director and Keenen was a screenwritera also directed that little 10 minute sketch before the show.

Robert Townsend's Partners in Crime. He did 4 specials for HBO. He also had a sketch/variety show in 1993 called Townsend Television.
