Where is life at

where is life at for you at the moment?

I for one have had a very difficult past 18 months but for a multitude of reasons I am back to being me again. I can honestly say it was very hard work ( I dont think I have ever had to work at life)

.. so thrilled with life....

I'm more optimistic than I've been in a while. I'm excited for my move and all that goes with it. I'm excited to make a new home with pretty things to look at and be surrounded by. You know I'm not much for "things" but I'm getting it together this time around.

I'm not happy with my body at the momment. This eczema is annoying the shit out of me, and it will be a good year before I can achieve a bubble ass. sigh

Work is stressful but this month and last month are the busiest months. All will slow down in October and pick up breifly in November.

I started writing a book and I think the concept is a bit cliche' but will be hilariously executed if I can get it right.

Overall, I NEED to change. And am getting more and more proactive about it. Putting things off till a future date sucks ass. I need to stop doing that.

And honestly Karen, I can only thank you for being so encouraging to me all the time. Your optimistic attitude lifts me, and I'm not just talking about getting a hard on this time.

It's been a good project for me. I forget that I enjoy being creative, even though my creativity means putting things together and subtly making changes to things, clothes, objects, whatever. I have my whole apartment together in my head, it's a matter of finding what I want. I haven't been able to find the things I want for my bathroom yet, and that's been frustrating... but I'm still enjoying the process.

I'm doing okay. I'm back at the gym. Work is pretty good. I know that I'll be laid off in January again though.

As always, I want more. Not necessarily material things. I grew up a spoiled brat and now I'm suffering the consequences. At least I've been learning my lesson.

I really don't know, neither here nor there. Like NDRU says, filling in the time before I die. I am not entirely unhappy or anything, just kind of pointless.

My life is up and down. Been battling depression with good sense, amongst other things.

I am at the moment in a state of flux, I am neither her, nor there. It ruins my sleeping patterns, but it GREAT for inspiration for writing.

Karen, it was great talking over the weekend, even if it was just over messenger.

I am looking for this moment in life where it gets a kickstart into a new era, you know; like Carrie's new house. My new job did that for a short while, before running me into the ground. Even though it's better now, I still cannot say I all whoopee about this new job.

What I am enthousiastic about is meeting some people offa this site; I met Ben this summer, albeit shortly, Lukasz and Marie-Louise. Seeing Marie next saturday again! Woohoo! All three wonderful people.

There is another project I am enthousiastic about, but more about that as soon as I got news.

I still don't know the story behind the fingerprints.

Life is elsewhere.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Life is good, right now... but there is always this underlying pressure to find someone to grow old with. I've been in no hurry to get married, but I'm terribly afraid of dying alone. Suddenly I'm very conscious of my age and this feeling that the clock is ticking.

you know when I asked about self-actualisation on the needs thread, I was not making a joke, I truly wonder about this, what is the point? Is it because we expect things like fulfilment or self-actualisation that we become depressed when it doesn't look like it is going that way? Was I an idiot to expect motherhood to bring some kind of fulfilment? - for some people it does, but not for me. Having a full time paid job didn't do it for me either, it always seemed like that was in the way of me achieving something. But what! What should I be achieving?

To me, these days, being content is an achievement on itself.

But I am getting better at it.

The non-religious aspects of modern-day life gave us too much choice and took away the sense of belonging there once was.

We need to find a balance between our freedom and set our own borders in which we can acchieve happiness.

The Juicy Brothers!!! Heehee!!

Without psychoanalyzing, it does explain some of our...er...um.....commonalities. Wouldn't you say?

I am so glad you didn't say being happy.

I totally agree with too much choice, I find it as crippling as no choice at all.

If humanity could find prupose in life without the materialism and without the throwing itself into mindless organized religion, then maybe, maybe there is a natural place for all of us. As long as we deny we are part of a much bigger movement, we are doomed. We cannever see past our own pety lives and/or generation.

you reckon if we did more deeds for the greater good we would feel better about ourselves and less aimless?

Not sure what sorts of things you're looking for, but for my recent move, my fav sources by far ended up being craigslist and etsy.com. thumbs up!

It's like an updated version of communism, I know. But I think the goal of that was too off to work. As soon as we understand that we are now keepers of the earth instead of just a link in the chain, we canchange the bad moves we made the last 100 years.
