Has anyone tried using WinMX lately?? I've been trying to connect for the past few days, and I can't. I see they have a new version out (3.3), but I can't even seem to DL that from their site! Anyone else having similar problems?

I had to download the new version to access the hub. I downloaded the new version from the main page of WinMX.. hope this helps!

Just tried it (newest version of the client s/w) and it works. So no, it isn't down. Check with your ISP, some ISPs are blocking ports used by common filesharing utilities.

And they went the Kazaa route, I think... I dunno. All I know is that it takes me YEARS to download songs, regardless of how many how are sharing it. I used to think Kazaa was bad but now I use it to download music instead of WinMX.

Oh and now I have a zillion somewhat downloaded songs but since they're rare, they never finish downloading because people who have them are never online.
