What new shows will you be watching when the new season starts

There's not a lot out there that looks good.

I think I'll be checking out

Pushing Daisies

and

Bionic Woman...thoguh I'm not as excited as I was about it.

We had this thread last year and Justin told me about Heroes and he was spot on about that!

I like the concept behind 'Pushing Daisies' but I don't see how it can sustain a series. It would probably have worked better as a TV Movie of the week. I think that there will be a back-lash against "quirky" very soon. I'll give it a go, but I'm not expecting greatness.

'Bionic Woman' seems promising - but taking away the fact that she has a medically-enhanced body, it's just another show about somebody on the run from a shady organisation (whom they are ultimately indebted to for their life). Robotic limbs, hearing and eyes may have seemed the stuff of fantasy in the 70s, but I don't think it's enough of a hook these days.

My top tip is 'Dirty Sexy Money'.

http://abc.go.com/primeti...oney/index

The real life trans-female Candis Cayne is going to portray William Baldwin's recurring transgendered love-interest in the show.

The rest of the cast is amazing too.

It looks like the anti-Dynasty, in that it isn't designed to make wealth seem aspirational, but dysfunctional. Soapy, shocking and boundary-pushing (especially for a U.S. network) - it's going to be water-cooler talk for the next few months.

Shoooo. February can't get here fast enough. Right now I am watching all 3 seasons. We watch 2 epies every Wednesday.

Oh and Say hello to Mondays at 7/8 pm. That is LOST's new home...right before Heroes. Mondays are going to rock.

I dunno. Pushing Daisies seems to be the Ally McBealish. That show got too quirky. We'll see. I've heard that it's the best offing of the season...but the seasons new offerings as a whole don't seem that great. This could just seem great amonst a bunch of duds. Still I am wanting to see what the hype is about. I heard the filming style is very different and it does have Chi McBride, who I loved in the Nine...another hyped up show that while good, did not live up to the hype and was yanked before the 8th epie aired (they FINALLY released the rest online)

I think I am skipping DSM. I though I might want to check out the Dynasty-like show. But the last thing I need in my life is another soap or continuing series to follow. It looks ok anyway.

ALL THEM SHITS!! woot!

Okay, half of them batting eyes

Okaaaaay, only 4 neutral

Dirty Sexy Money, Big Shots (but I'll hate it b/c of Dylan McDermott, BLECH!), Cane (Jimmy Smits drool ) & Private Practice.

My prediction is that Cane will get dicked around & eventually dropped from the schedule, Private Practice will be merely mediocre, I'll delete the season pass for Big Shots after 1 episode & Dirty Sexy will be a winner.

My take on those...

Cane - Will be gone midseason. Such a strong Cast and a Hispanic one at that. It'll be gone in a quickness. WHich'll be sad, but good for me as Nestor Carbonell can come back to Lost biggrin

Private Practice will Be retooled and then cancelled. That's 2 in a row for Tim Daly and Taye Diggs

DSM - I think will be too soapy for it's own good. I think it'll make it to the end of the season though (Reminding myself NO Serial dramas...they get cancelled and then you're left hanging)

Haven't heard of Big Shots.

I never watched Lost but I've loved that Nestor dude since Suddenly fucking Susan lol He's FINE tonk

Actually, several in a row for Taye. I hope they don't start to see him as poison... Look @ us, plotting the shows demise before it even STARTS falloff

Any actor from Six Feet Under can have my attention just for nostalgia's sake. I hope the show lives up to the hype smile

Haven't heard of Big Shots.

Male version of Sex & the City. Not only is Dylan McDermott's moon head ass on here, but Christopher Titus is too whofarted I think it'll suck many nuts but I'm willing to give them one chance.

By the way, if nobody's seen it - The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman on IFC is pretty funny! The first few episodes were bumpy but they're finding their way. Whatever she's (Laura Knightlinger, sp?) done to her face is hella disturbing but she's funny nod

Fauxie

Only stuff I watch is 'House' and the crime stuff Mon watches (CSI, Bones, Cold Case etc.). I just wait for those grand 3 or 4 part things they have sometimes like 'Angels In America'. Oh, I do like a bit of 'Medium' though. nod

I keep seeing stuff about 'Lost' and '24' but some reason I've never watched either of them. I've heard they're quite good though.

Nah, but I've heard enough buzz about it though. The Tivo is already set, I just hope they don't disappoint smile

Cane! A few people on here have said that the show won't last sad but I'm not sure why they're saying that... confuse

Anyway, I've been watching the commercials for it and I'm excited to watch it.

Desperate Housewives is my favourite because it's fun, but Battlestar Galactica is pretty darn good, too. biggrin

I'm looking forward to more Ugly Betty and Brothers & Sisters. biggrin

Is Brothers & Sisters still being show in the states? biggrin

Just Pushing Daisies, I believe.

I thought this thread was asking only for new shows, but since everyone is naming returning series, I will too:

Heroes
Desperate Housewives
Bones

I may catch an occasional episode of The Simpsons when I remember.

That is all. The rest of my television watching consists of news, sports and music videos.
