Anyone else notice lots of flying ants today?

I must have had thousands in my front yard/front door area...

YUCK
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Flying ants (including termites) spawn at this time of the year to go out and colonize new homes.

Oh gosh,
the last time I saw a bunch of 'em was when I was about ten
& the circus was in town.
Though I'm sure many found their performance to be a bit antiquated,
seeing it thru the eyes of a ten-year-old,
I was thoroughly impressed.

oh wait.....I'm sorry, guys.
I was thinking of the Flying Aunts,
a trapeze troupe made up of the sisters of the mothers of various members of the taveling circus that would occassionly stop by our town.

They were protesting against the treatment that slugs get.

All we are saying, is give slugs a chance.
