ohh yes, this is a very good movie indeed...Oscar Nod for sure...

I think this is the first *character* Williams has been able to pull off..Not once did I look at this creation as Robin Williams...and the subtle evolution from dork to creepy guy to full fledged lunatic is well done...

the dream sequence is a hoot!!!

I thought he was too, but the movie itself was kind of lame-esp the ending. Seemed like they ran out of $$ and just ended it.(edit: referring to Insomnia...Photo was a good movie beginning to end IMO)

Ooops, just saw your post...thanks for the info. I didn't know there was an 'Insomnia' movie in the mid-90's.

This joint is supposed to be really good... we will see... at least you get to eat inside prison cells and such... and the building really was a prison that was built in 1875.

I agree...it was good enough, I suppose...but didn't provide nearly enough creepiness...and a few too many times I could "see" Robin Williams "acting", instead of just "being"...

Check out the movie "Following" at yer local Blockbuster...cool, rarely seen movie...excellent juxtaposition of timeframes and how they relate to each other in telling the story...that, and "Frailty"...THAT movie provided more creeps for the buck than "One Hour Photo", in my opinion...
