Skinny jeans will always be in, I love mine. They're the only jeans that will tuck nicely into boots without the dreaded, "knee baggage," and with the right top on....fabulous.

cool

I LOOOOOVE skinny jeans, but haven't found the perfect pair yet.. There's something terribly wrong with my body type.. confused

1. A smaller size fits perfectly around my thighes, but I have trouble getting the pants up past my HUGE hips & ass..

2. The next bigger size fits ok around my hips, but already it's a bit baggy from the thighs. The problem is that skinny jeans are usually low-cut and this size is just way tight around the hips and makes stupid love handles..

3. The next one is too big around the hips (can fit 5 fingers in there) and the thigh area is way too baggy..

pissed

I still would luv some skinny jeans.. sigh

here's a pic (because im a photowhore! duh!)
it doesn't show off my ass but i'm a hippy girl so you can ASSume ( lol ) that i have a great ass:

you make me want to post a pic too!

I always thought my legs were too chickenish for them, but I think they are very flattering nod

You're such a photowhore. rolleyes

biggrin j/k I find that straight leg jeans instead of the skinny (super tight and fitted) are more flattering. If I wanted to wear leggings I'd take a time machine back to 1985. confused But, I do have one pair of the tighter ones to wear with knee high boots because they stuff down in the boots better.

See, I would consider getting a pair to wear with boots, but I think I would feel self-conscious 'cause I'm not a thin woman and on top of that, I'm short. I don't think those pants are made for me lol

Yes. Skinny, and then very very wide. The "boyfriend" cut of pants is also in, but generally in uber uber style conscious circles. By the end of this week I'll be able to tell you what to expect for next year, though. And with that, I actually need to get my butt offline and head out to see a collection.
hrmph I'd rather be nursing my hangover right about now lol

Yeah, honestly the bootcut, not bellbottoms lol, are the most flattering on me. They balance out my proportions and make my hips not seem as wide as they really are. lol I'm not that much taller than you. confused

Skinny jeans really only work if you're putting something skinny into them. They will always make your hips look wider and your thighs and butt look bigger. If that's what you're going for, great. If not...well...you've been warned. lol

A longer top can counteract some of the "butt" issue, but if your thighs are heavy, you're still stuck.

A straighter leg is more slimming for most women. But you don't want the leg too straight (or wide) -- because that can make you look shorter and your legs look like tree stumps.

Jeans shopping sucks. lol

I only like them with really high heels and a light, longer, flowy top - unless you have an amazing body and can pull off having tight on bottom and on top, but again high heels are a must.

Guys have a lot more leeway because hips/thighs tend not to be a "fit critical" area for most. But, skinny jeans require a completely flat stomach and a very youthful appearance. (This is going to sound weird, but bald guys should absolutely not wear skinny jeans. Unless they're "billiard ball" bald and kinda dangerous looking. lol )

If you're paunchy and only semi-bald, you end up looking like a member of a washed-up 80s hair band.

Why do I suspect that if you put on a bandana under a trucker cap, you'd look just like Bret Michaels? lol
