I can't say there was a golden age. It all goes in phases. There are times it's more fun and/or interesting than others but then it gets boring/redundant then it picks back up again. A few new faces, a few old, but not much changes to be honest.

I liked it when lollypops and the rocknrolls were here, and starkitty, thefrog and a few others.

Icenine, mrbliss, azurestar days were interesting.

nod Coincidentally that was also when I went from lurker to poster. Lolly and that lot were fucking hilarious.

Coincidentally, notice that our "golden age" coincides with when the largest british contingent the org has seen were active. biggrin

Coincidentally, that said, us Brits are making a comeback - we've got Fauxie, JD, Billy plus the second coming of Frog, jami0mckay (I love him smile) and, of course, Noah. I also like evenstar, erin, hokie, sweeny heart, agcm, and a few others. It's good times now.

Coincidentally, I edited this to fit in an extra "coincidentally."

coincidedit.

I think nostaligia and ego are making a monkey of a few folk. The site's probably never been more healthy regarding the mix of personalities and wee dramas. Teller was a pretentious wankshot who never knew when the joke was on him. IceNine's ego dulled any wit he may have had, and in the end he was really just a impotent troll who thought by amusing himself he was an entertainer. The only person I think the place truly misses is evilwhitemale, even though some of the negatives which apply to IceNine he was also guilty. Zelaria too, but that goes without saying. Frankly, Imago and Spooky saved this place (general discussion) from being a junkyard of arse, fakery and stagnation. I have a lot of time for a lot of people here, and even the dullards and egotists can be entertaining if you view them though a cage.

I miss EWM too, he was hilarious. It did take me a while to "get" him, after which point in time my soul changed forever.

Awww, we had so much fun teasing everyone, not everyone understood our black kind of humour. But that was kind of the fun of it.

If it'll help, I'll bring out all my old Yahoo troll characters.

Anyway, just remember this: In a few years, someone is going to say, "You know, the Org was REALLY great when Ace, Imago, JustErin, Lothan and that crew was here. They were great! Except for that RodeoSchro guy, he was just pathetic."

Oh, well, definitely back in the days of 2the9s, bkw and "if Jesus were a pickle....", AzureStar, naturally... theC, thechronic.

Not that 2the9s and Kirby aren't still here. rolleyes Ehm, but that would've been about 5 years ago.

Edit: I think that was back when the general discussion forum got shut down for awhile.

When POOK was new. Etc.
