I love Autumn

I just love this time of year. I would love to say that I love Fall because I like to watch the leaves changes but I would be lying my ass off if I did. I hate leaves and all they stand for and them changing colors is just a precursor to them falling in my yard and having to be raked. So that's not it. My reasons are threefold:

1) After sweltering in over 100 degree weather since late May I am ready for 80 degree days. Oh to be able to go outside and now immediately start sweating profusely. Such a nice feeling.

2) The Fair comes in the Fall. I love the Fair. Rides, games, numerous foul-smelling creatures (and barnyard animals too!). And of course, what on earth will they be putting in a fried shell this year? Fried Snickers, Fried Reeses Cups...just fry it and I'll eat it. Yes I know my veins are filled with lard but how can I resist?

3) Football. I love football. I physically am in love with the concept of football. And both my teams (Dallas in the NFL and my beloved South Carolina Gamecocks) are undefeated. Of course that will change when LSU beats the everliving crap out of my boys this weekend but for now I am downright eupohoric.

Fall is the best season. Look at this iron-clad case I have made here. I should have been a lawyer.

Would a constitutional amendment banning all other seasons of the year be out of line?

Some might blame the complete lack of sexual innuendo for the failure of this thread. Others may cite the beautiful art of Haiku for it's low popularity. Me, I blame you summer lovers out there!

Fall is my favorite time of year too.
I can wear my hair down without it turning into a giant frizzball on my head.
Sleeping with the window open just a bit to let that cool night air flow into the house. Not having to use the air conditioner.

Great sleeping weather.
ahhhhh.
It is a very mellow season.

The best holiday ever. I get so excited looking at Halloween isles in stores. I picked up a couple of gargoyles today. They were only $1 each.

i have accustom of like you know in my town like 3 weeks before halloween to like walk around, go to the store like a walgreens or a mall, and by like five bags of candy..then walk home, past by the cementeries..you know while listening to music, like spend about 30 minutes their, then go home, i've been doing this for like 5 years now..usually it was after school, but since i don't go to high school anymore,i'll probably do it earlier.

lol As a kid I loved both Christmas and Halloween....the older I get the more I prefer Halloween over it though. The other day I was looking at old halloween pics of me, my cousin, and my brother all dressed up for Halloween. Me, a witch, my cousin a devil, and my brother was fuckin' Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. falloff To this day, I still laugh at that shit. I was only about 7 at the time, and my aunt did my make-up. My face was painted similar to the Misfits logo. Trust me, my aunt had no clue who the Misfits were at the time. lol I'm getting all nostalgic thinking about good Halloweens as a kid. mushy
