Why hasn't he paid up? Because he's a scumbag who thinks he's above all laws. I hope the Goldman's get everything he owns.

I don't get what your point is. He was acquitted by technicality, which in my eyes, doesn't mean shit. He murdered those two people and got away with it. Why did he try to run if he were so innocent? This is ridiculous.

Lawd. OJ killed them.
He's as innocent as Liberace was straight (remember, Liberace won a slander/liable case against some publisher that accused him of being gay ) What surprises me in all of this is the attention it's getting. I mean, skum like OJ take the front page of CNN while hundreds of people perish in a plane crash around the same time. The media really makes no sense.

O.J. has replaced Sh!tney Spears as the top news story. They should be focused on something important, like what's going down in Jena.
The American media is such a f-n joke.

The American media is such a f-n joke. OMG, have you looked at CNN.com ? JAYSUS. You can get 2 minutes of a story about cats being stuck in a tree, but barely a blurb about Darfur etc. etc. A serious joke!

What's going on in Jena is a national disgrace - there should be media swarming all over that backwoods town - it's the Black Codes, Jim Crow, Selma all over again. But an Uncle Tom ex-NFL star who got away with killing his trophy wife and her pal 12 years ago grabs folks' attention.

Cochran isn't alive to keep bailing him out anymore, O.J. just doesn't get it. Message to O.J.: Listen if u hadn't noticed...THEY WON'T REST UNTIL THEY GET YOU, YOU ARE A FREE MAN!!!! NOW GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND STOP DOING DUMB SHIT!!! [Edited 9/17/07 16:22pm] If O.J. had any brains, he'd pull a Claus Von Bulow and drop out of sight. But he's such an egomaniac and attention whore he won't do it. It's killing him inside that he's not "America's Favorite Token Negro" anymore. You'd think that he would be over that by now...way over it..but you know what, you just might be right... I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

PBS did an awesome piece, a year or 2 ago, about how many white people cannot let go of the OJ case because it represents injustice to them, a glaring moment when the justice system didn't work.
The same piece showed how, for many blacks, the case was a textbook example of the justice system going after a black man, seeking to imprison him using through corrupt means because he dared to live "the white life." For many of us, the justice system never worked. It's interesting, as we observe the hype surrounding this latest OJ incident how the variables have become more complex while retaining the same polarities. Many whites are saying, "Now's our chance!!!" and many blacks are mumbling, "Now, here's a setup, if I ever saw one..." At the center of it all, speaking as someone who thought OJ killed his ex-wife and Ron Goldman, I'm troubled by his statement that police are unresponsive to him. I don't doubt it. It's messed up. But I understand why.

There've been many instances where the justice system didn't work, but you don't see the same anger directed at those cases. Many folks have selective outrage when comes to crime. That's why I'm very cynical about the whole thing.

Oh, I hope they get that bastard this time. And don't fuck it up this time by bringing racists assholes into the courtroom because he will sure try to turn it into a racial thing. Yeah, racists exist, always have, and always will. But just because someone is racist does not mean that the asshole is innocent. Guilty or innocent, I hate that bastard for dividing this country up worse than I've ever seen it in my lifetime over race just so he can get his ass off the hook.
As far as I'm concerned, I would be happy if they went all the way back to his grade school days and got him for cheating on a test. Get his ass for something because you know good and damn well he killed those folks and got away with it. And as far as all the white people in the past killing black people and getting away with it. Go back and get their asses too....the ones that are still living. The dead ones are in hell now and paying for it. Andy is a four letter word.

So, lock up someone on laughable charges because they weren't convicted in an unrelated case? That's not due process. That's mob rule. If we waive his right to due process because of that previous acquittal, the perpetuation of a trumped-up war will be the least of the USA's issues.

I was joking about the "going back to grade school and cheating on the test" part, but if he's committed crimes since the last trial, by all means, lock his damn ass up because he sure deserves it. Hell, he should have served a little time when he stole cable television. No, don't get him for laughable shit but if he commits a crime, even the smallest one, get his ass. Get him on parking violations (only if he did them of course). In other words, make his life a living hell. If the law was worth a damn, he would be locked up right now for not paying the money to the Goldmans. If I were in his shoes, you better believe they would have come and got my ass. . . It's nothing new that not everyone gets the same justice, but after that case it's clear that it's determined as much by money now as it once was by race. [Edited 9/19/07 0:06am] My Legacy
