building IKEA furniture

neutral

I promised to put together 6 BERTIL chairs tonight

I can't even do one completely, so far I've done 2 incompletely. The first one was kind of fun, and I obviously lost interest since I am here instead

dead

I grew up doing this stuff. Can you cope with IKEA furniture assembly?

I've never really had a problem. In fact, I rather enjoy following directions and figuring things out. redface

I've picked out a bookcase from there I'm getting for my new apartment in a few weeks. yay!

I'm having trouble getting the screws into the wood - there are small guideholes, but you need a fair bit of brute force, since it is solid birch wood, and a better screwdriver than I seem to have confused

I just threw away the new catalog cause I was perusing it too much. redface

I can't find the bookcase I want online, but it was in the new catalog and my friend saw it in the store. It's a tall rectangular thing covered in a print in black and white of flowers. It's sooooo cute. If I like it as much as I think when I see it in person, I may get a matching CD tower. giggle

I had to rush through the store today, so I completely by-passed shelving and storage. It was the first weekend after the catalogue was distributed, so imagine the crowds. Otherwise I am sure I would have gone and had a look at it, sounds different to the usual stuff.

Doesn't matter.

LEGO is like riding a bike. You never forget how to do it.
