Ever since I learned that 420 was code for "Let's smoke a fattie", I've been amused by all the subtle 420 references.

Just now, I was in Starbucks and they have a Ryan Adams CD for sale. "Easy Tiger" or something like that. The cover pic is a black-and-white photo of Adams sitting on a bench, head in his hands, smoking a cigarette. But wait!

There's ONE thing in color. It's the face of his oldschool digital watch. And you can see the time. Guess what it is? LMFAO, I almost dropped my Venti one-Equal Latte.

Yesterday I was watching "The Simpsons". Krusty was lamenting over the ratings dip when "Itchy and Scratchy" cartoons were aired. He had a time chart showing his ratings in five-minute increments. Sure enough, at the time when "Itchy and Scratchy" came on, ratings dipped.

Guess what time "Itchy and Scratchy" aired? LOL, I had to rewind a couple times to make sure I was seeing it right.

So, now I am going to make a phone call to the richest guy I know, offering my wealth management services. I do not smoke dope, and I don't think he does either, but I'm still going to call at 4:20 PM.

this is not only common slang for Pot, but as you now notice, there are subtleites of it everywhere. Try looking for it in Movies. I know Quintin Taratino has placed that number in a few places.

There's a smoke shop here called "Houston 420" and their logo is the interstate sign with 420 in it. For years, I thought there was some freeway in Houston that I had somehow missed.
