Pork Pies

I really like pork pies now that theyv'e gotten rid of the jello. What I want to know is, what's the best one you've had? Can you get a really decent one at your general supermarket?

I don't know why, but as soon as I saw 'Pork Pies' on the GD page I just knew when I looked across that it would be a JD thread. lol

I love pork pies. Not easy to get them here. Would probably need to go to Villa supermarket and they'd be expensive. Bit of a trek too. sad

Never been a big fan, I think I was put off by the jelly as a kid. I would consider them for a picnic now though. Still nothing to rave about.

A little harsh, but I respect your views. I have no place on this thread.

It's so you. It's mundane and everyday for a thread topic, but pork pies are important. You recognise that. Everybody should have pork pies in their fridge at any given time.

I think I'll have a look in Villa tomorrow and see if they have them. nod

Mmm... pork pies... summertime... sport on telly... little bottles of that french beer that come in 24 packs... mushy

I think I had them, actually. lol Toni (lollip0p)'s dad went to buy Muse and I a bag each when we visited her family a couple years ago. I think we each politely tasted one and then they went in the trash. redface

I'm not a fan of pork and I am not a fan of pastry so this dish looks gross to me.

I'm not sure if they carry such a thing in the local grocery stores here.

Probably though. hmmm
