i have a question... Normally, I wouldn't pass along my fashion questions to anyone, as I've got good instincts myself, but how much cleavage is too much cleavage?
I've got an incredible black dress I bought a while ago that is about mid-calf length, cute hook and eye type black covered buttons up the front, very fitted with a high neck in back and cute short/cropped sleeves. The front comes down just below the boob line in a V in front and is lined with a ruffle of material. I can wear it with a cleavage-cut bra, but you can still kinda see the line of the bra that goes across from the one boob to the other underneath. The ruffle obcscures it a little, but if you're looking you can see it. Is that too much? Do I have to wear something underneath and ruin the cleavage effect entirely? |

If you feel good and comfortable not wearing a bra, I say go for it.
Everything is ok in my books as long as you're not showing nipples. People seem to freak out at the site of those.

Oh wait, you said you can't not wear a bra.
What about those sticky support things? Do they work? [Edited 9/13/07 6:37am]

yeah I'd wear something under it, like a lacy number where the cleavage is there and the skin is implied We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou

Actually, I'd just wear the bra with it.

I have a kind of sheer black shirt, but I like the contrast of the black with my pale, pale skin. |

This is what I'm hoping for. I think I just needed someone to say it's OK. |

I have that problem with one shirt i love... to me the key was to make sure the bra was the exact same color... ( which in my case was red/orange) but i found one for it coincidentally and perfect...)

Carrie, I've seen very low plunging bras that would maybe provide you the support you need, but still allow you to wear the dress and have the bra not show.

I thought that too...but from what I have heard they stay put. I've been meaning to try one out to see for sure though. And that website only goes up to 36... I need 38. I am begining to understand the frustration here.... In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |
