Depends on the situation...

If I'm talking to a woman who is obviously displaying her cleavage, I never look...I focus on our conversation and I leave it at that. it would be crass and rude to do so. It's not that hard to keep from looking...they're breasts, not space aliens.

If, however, that same woman is across the room or walking in my direction or ahead of me in line at the store or something, I'll allow myself a glance of appreciation...but it would have to be subtle. A woman's attire won't dictate my behavior, and I've never acted like a college frat boy at any point in my life.

So let me see if I can sum up thus far:

1) Females who show cleavage by and large do so because they are proud of their assets.

2) Females by and large who show their cleavage want their cleavage looked at.

3) I could have been looking directly at cleavage for years but have chosen to be a gentleman and at least try to look away.

4) The Org loves cleavage.

Does that about sum it up?

Not quite...

Females by and large who show their cleavage only want certain men to look at it lol...the same woman who may be offended if some shmuck off the street was staring down between her breastesses would probably be flattered beyond belief if it were a Brad Pitt look-alike doing the same thing.

Basically, as men we're expected to just know if we fall into the category of "go ahead and look" or "keep your eyes to yourself, buddy"...I always assume I'm in the latter lol lol

In my opinion any time a woman wears a top like that she wants to be looked at. There is no other purpose. She's just showing off what she's got. Don't feel bad about looking. I'd probably look to. shrug

That's the secret of the universe right there. lol

I read that some guy on the subway was even photographed and put on a website that has pictures of men that expose themselves to women because he was staring at a woman's chest for too long. (It wasn't me, I swear.) I don't know if the woman was showing cleavage though.

Women's tops should be made with the equivalent of roll down windows. When the right guy comes along, the top just rolls down to show some cleavage, but when mr. creepy walks by, it rolls all the way back up to the woman's neck.

Upon further reading I'm confused again. Dear Lord, women's cleavage is like understanding how to take care of a Mogwai in "Gremlins".

I won't even broach the subject of whether it is okay to peak if I am in the company of my wife.

For some women yes, for some no. My cup size hasn't changed in about 7 years and I've gone up and down about 4 dress sizes in that time.

Somebody was making 1/2 sizes for a while, but I ignored it b/c I thought "when I lose weight my boobs will go down." I wonder if they still make them? hmmm

I am not trying to make mountains out of molehills here but I have a very serious question concerning cleavage. Certainly a topic that has been brought up before and the "Seinfeld: episode with a young Denise Richards probably did a better job exploring the topic than I am about to do. But please, I need some help on this and it is either this or paperwork so help me out.

I encountered a female yesterday who was wearing something massively low cut. It's one thing if I was at a club or something but this was a place of business and, well to put it bluntly, she was about to fall out of stuff. So I'm trying my best to maintain a conversation and meanwhile, just below my peripheral vision, are the "pointer sisters" just hanging out, blam! So what is the proper protocol here. I am a happily married man and I'm not looking for anything else but when someone is so blatantly trying to display an aspect of their body, am I supposed to look? Ame I insulting her if I do not, seeing she has taken such great pains to display attributes she is obviously proud of.

I just don't get cleavage. If it is not to look at, what is it for? (Yes, I understand the whole lactating, nursing the young process but that is a different story). But why does some females outside of a social setting that is more inviting to cleavage-bearing (a bar, rock concert, other areas of attracting mates) insist on wearing a shirt so low it is below her pants. I'm not complaining, I'm just confused. I just don't get who it is for.

I know it is probably all Darwinian somehow but by and large guys do not do this. I mean sure there are the thong wearers at the beach and the whole gender has a lot to apologize for regarding Larry Blackmon of Cameo but guys don't usually wear clothing exposing our hoohaws to the bank.

So could we explore cleavage in this thread and get to the bottom of the issue.

She obviously wasn't being professional. I had a receptionist like that. So trifling.

Unless you are in sales, and that should be done with caution as well, you shouldn't dress like you are going to the damn club at work.
