In the 60s I think it was probably more powerful due to the context of the BPM, Civil Rights, Nation of Islam, etc; but now it seems a bit dated to me. IMO, someone (an artist) should come up with an updated & more powerful or creative image that would essentially make the same point as AmeriKKK did in the 60s, while simultaneously reminding people that racism is still an issue. It's not just America - hate is everywhere. I've heard other people of color(asians, indians, arabs, hispanics) say the most ignorant sh!t about black folks. IMO, most of the world has a low opinion of us. Nothing new. I just accept the fact that a lot of people suck, and I deal with their racial BS the best way I can. They won't stop me from living my life. I'm not sure why you're responding to my post...I never said racism was limited to the US; the original question was specifically about AmeriKKKa (e.g. USA) as was Greycap's generalization, thus I limited my response to that country.

Many people have unflattering ideas about the United States and have valid reasons for those opinions. I would encourage you to check out or buy "A People's History of the United States" by Howard Zinn. You seem to want to understand why various people hold the opinions they do. Zinn's book is a great starting point. Thanks Thready. Yanno what, I think I will. Is it pretty much an easy read for someone, who basically has no lack of the history of the US? Even better, actually. I keed, I keed. Zinn goes to great lengths to present history's facts from other perspectives than those of conquerors. It's a good read.
