LIVE music, is my 1st enjoyment and quite honestly... alone, meaning (I don't need a date or friend to go). One ticket is all I need, usually.

Definitely depends.

For funk, uptempo deals -- I set the volume on my pc's system pretty loudly. It carries very well throughout my house, like a broadcast.

For jazzy, more atmospheric music -- I set one of my systems (which are on the floor in my bedroom and living room) fairly bassy but so that the music will resonate through the floor to wherever I might be -- even if I'm in the same room. The systems have good speakers, so the highs carry well, too. In these settings, the music is more of an insinuation throughout my house.

Otherwise, I tote my mp3 player. Or I play live myself, hands to instrument.

I don't really enjoy listening to music

On my initial listen to new material, I prefer to lie in bed alone, lights out, eyes closed, incense burning if I have some, with earphones on.

After that, my next favorite way is on a long, scenic drive with no destination in particular. Rainy days are the best.

I also like it with a beer and a book, sitting on my bed.

Sometimes I put spaced out stuff on when i'm in bed, trying to get to sleep. Jazz, ambient, roots reggae or prog rock. I also find, really gnarly black metal, or nosebleed techno, played extremely quietly. makes me sleepy

My fave is coming back from a night out with some musically minded friends in tow, and drinking, smoking, listening to, and talking about, music

I love to listen to music when I'm doing housework and cooking. There is nothing like a Sunday with some great music all day long and a great meal for dinner. Oh and lots of wine too!!

I also love taking drives in the country with my hubby and listening to music.

I used to listen to it everywhere and anywhere when I was younger, but now I'll listen to it in the car, on the computer and sometimes in bed, though I don't fall asleep to music anymore like i used to.
