Halloween is my favorite time of year! But my 4 year old is SCARED of everything halloween, it sucks!! Everytime I even try to pull out anything remotely halloween, she runs out of the room.

Cute. Hallowe'en is my second favorite holiday ever, because it's one in which, for me, the excitement doesn't fade as you become an adult. Last year I was Siouxsie Sioux, and this year I'm going for either Adam Ant or Amy Blue from The Doom Generation. Do you dress up, Mach?

We have several different Halloween / Samhain gatherings

on halloween night we host a large party for all the local teens - they are still kids though oh so to cool to trick or treat

this gives them a safe scary place to hang out dress up and still play in the halloween spirit

last yr we had black light ping pong and a huge bon fire outside scary sounds playing off the deck and NO artifical light - all candles - different carved jack o lanters all out on the hill side - green slime punch cash prize for the best costume - scary movies in the TV room - halloween themed foods around 30 teens showed up - all well behaved and greatful for the fun evening



I shoved them all out the door at 11 pm ( school night ) so I could get ready for our personal midnight Samhain ritual
