I'm just finishing up John McPhee's The Ransom of Russian Art, about Norton Dodge, this guy who for many years smuggled dissident art out of the Soviet Union. He had one of the biggest collections in the world, all stashed on his farm in Maryland. It's a wonderful portrait of Dodge.

McPhee is becoming one of my favorite writers.

He's been around for awhile....didn't he write "Giving Good Weight" about the produced industry?

Never read that. He's written dozens of books.

Coming into the Country and The Curve of Binding Energy are the ones I've read.
