a Brand New song! woot!

I'm heaven sent,
don't you dare forget
I am all you've ever wanted,
what all the other boys all promised
Sorry I told
I just needed you to know

I think in decimals and dollars
I am the cause to all your problems
Shelter from cold
We are never alone
Coordinate brain and mouth
Then ask me what it's like to have myself so figured out
I wish I knew

I hope this songs starts a craze,
the kind of song that ignites the airways
The kind of song that makes people glad to be where they are
with who ever they're there with
This is war
Every line is about who I don't write about anymore
Hope you come down with something they can't diagnose,
don't have the cure for
Holding on to your grudge
Oh it's so hard to have someone to love
Keeping quiet is hard
'Cause you can't keep a secret if it never was a secret to start
At least pretend you didn't wanna get caught

We're concentratin' on fallin' apart
We were contenders, now throwin' the fight
I just wanna believe, I just wanna believe, I just wanna believe in us

Oh we're so c-c-c-c-c-controversial
We are entirely smooth
We fit to the truth
We are the best at what we do
And these are the words you wish you wrote down
This is the way you wish your voice sounds,
handsome and smart
Oh, my tongue's the only muscle on my body that works harder than my heart
And it's all from watching TV
and from speeding up my breathing
Wouldn't stop if I could
Oh it hurts to be this good
You're holding on to your grudge
Oh it hurts to always have to be honest with the one that you love
Oh so let it go

We're concentratin' on fallin' apart
We were contenders, now throwin' the fight
I just wanna believe, I just wanna believe, I just wanna believe in us

We're concentratin' on fallin' apart
We were contenders, now throwin' the fight
I just wanna believe, I just wanna believe, I just wanna believe in us

This is the craze only we can bestow
This is the price you pay for loss of control
This is the break in the ground
This is the closest of calls
This is the reason you're alone, this is the reason you fall!

We're concentratin' on fallin' apart
We were contenders, now throwin' the fight
I just wanna believe, I just wanna believe, I just wanna believe...

lol I really like your parents. If I asked my father who Maxi Jazz is, he'd probably think I was talking about a feminine hygiene product that sings musical notes.

Yeah, they are great guys. My Dad bought an Augustus Pablo album yesterday which is pretty cool. I think he tries to impress me sometimes. smile

lol That's cute, though. One time a few years back, I gave my dad a call and he answered his phone with "What the dilly, yo?". I nearly choked on my own tongue, understandably.

He gets much cooler with age, of course. The older I get, the cooler he gets. lol Despite his obsession with Neil Young.

Neil Young is kinda cool, I like his voice very much. Do yours like literature? My folks have been reading a lot of Dickens recently. Im not sure why.

My dad's not a huge bookworm, unfortunately for me. He spends his free time (two jobs) playing excellent guitar and doing activities with my hometown's Lions Club chapter. They get together several times a week and raise money for charity. He's become very popular around town with it. He also has a couple ridiculously nice custom (by him, of course) Harley-Davidsons. And his dog is his best friend. He lays on the kitchen floor with him and professes his love to Hooch on daily basis. Even if there's company.

He used to read a lot of trippy existential shit in the late 80's, but I was too young to get involved. I stole all of his books later. And much of his music, too.

I've experienced such overkill as a teen. You can only hear so much "Needle And The Damage Done", y'know? Even I can play that on my shitty guitar. lol

That's neat. smile The picture in my head is highly inaccurate, surely. I'm picturing them in antique chairs in in their sitting parlor with dark wallpaper, a pipe in your dad's hand and a cup of PG Tips in your mum's. disbelief

They don't live in the 1940s! I do miss the smell of my Dads' pipe tobacco though. He used to go to a specialist and had some aromatic tobacco which smelt of coffe and caramel. He used to smoke it whilst reading and watching the rugby on a Saturday afternoon.
