What was the last movie you watched?

What was the last movie you watched?

And was it good or shit? (Or somewhere in between?)

Myself, the last film that I watched was 'Dancer In The Dark', directed by Lars Von Trier and starring Bjork. Much better than it may sound to some, I have to say that it's one of the best films that I've ever seen, even though it was incredibly depressing. One of those films that lingered in my mind long after it had finished.

I'm on a mini vacation, so I've seen a lot in the last couple of weeks. Briefly

Lagaan -- an Indian musical, very entertaining, but looong (like 4 hours!!!) ***
In the Bedroom -- great flick ***
13 Conversations About 1 Thing -- interesting, slow moving ***
Friday After Next -- some good moments, not great **
Die Another Day -- mindless fun, Madonna doesn't suck in her 5 minutes ***
8 Mile -- better than I expected, but far from great ***
Harry Potter and the Chamber... -- better than the first ***
Frida -- Really, really good. Beautiful cinematography ***
let me come over it's a beautiful day to play with you in the dark

"The Sum of All Fears" - watched the DVD last night. For anyone looking for an amazing suspense-filled drama with spooky relevance to geopolitical current events - SEE THIS MOVIE!!! The movie has it all: it was well-acted, well-cast, has a great plot, and contains spectacular special effects. Morgan Freeman kicked ass!

My brother was watching Insomnia in the next room last night. Didn't catch enough of it to say if it was good or not.

Saw 8 Mile a week and a half ago. It was actually good. I was shocked.

Die Another Day...
I thought that it wasn't action packed enough and Halle Berry should have done more ass kicking.
I give this flick, two thumbs down zzz

"The Fan", with Robert DeNiro and Wesley Snipes.

It was okay. The satellite kept going out on me so I missed a little of it, but it was certainly worth watching when there was nothing else on.

It was about Robert DeNiro's character being an obsessed fan of a baseball player, played by Welsey Snipes.

It's daddy, not "dad".

It was well-made, well-acted and a bit more complicated morally for this kind of movie, but I don't easily get into these good versus evil movies.

In the movies: FRIDA 2 weeks ago.
Awesome movie...Salma Hayek did an excellent job at portraying the artist. Oscar worthy performance. A must-see for anyone looking to enjoy a serious movie.

On DVD: ICE AGE 2 hours ago.
Funny. I liked the giant sloth the best. Not as good as Monsters Incorporated, but the kids really enjoyed it.

Just bought and watched Romeo and Juliet, the new version with the guns and stuff.

Damn, I HATE Leo, but I love John Leguizamo and Baz Luhrmann's style. Plus it was only $14.00 CAN, so how could I resist?

I agree...I saw Frida over the weekend, and it was excellent...the paintings morphing into reality morphing into paintings were a nice touch to the storytelling...very inspiring story artistically, it made me want to go live the artist's life right now...lol..and I loved just looking at Selma Hayek...other than the eyebrows, she looked a lot like Freespirit, and reminded me of her in terms of her strong, independent personality...

Great film, I reccommend it... smile
