I am so sorry, Val . I can imagine what it feels like to fear for your dog as I remember quite well how much I loved my own. And it's just natural that all these changes in your life affect you, even though they are for the better and you know you are doing the right thing, but still it must be frightening . Thank you everyone and especially Mach.
Willie my 13 yr old Schnauzer is a bit better this morning. I woke to him yesterday morning unable to walk. The brief periods that he could walk he would stagger and fall to one side. I took him to the ER vet after hours place in a panic. After a long wait he was observed and no real diagnosis. We left with 3 meds and a thought that it might be an inner ear infection, infection of the brain or something more serious. I brought him home and watched him all day and cried. As many of you know I am moving to England on Sept 25th...preferably with him. He faces a very long plane ride and 6 months in quarantine. So being his owner, caregiver and mom I have to sort out what is best for him. I slept on the floor with him so he could be on his favourite bed through the night and I would know if he woke. When we woke to do our usual routine he was able to walk- still very wobbly and taking left turns but he was being a big boy. He is one tough pup which I have learned over the past 13 yrs with him. He is doing his usual trying to run before he can crawl thing but he is showing signs of Willie again- which I did not see yesterday. Thanks so much to everyone that org noted me and the posts. It was a lovely thing to wake up to after the day filled with tears yesterday. He has been my constant companion for 13 years- the only constant in my life really besides my mom. Now I have 2 weeks to sort out what is best for him.

I cannot forget to thank the person that got a call from me frantically crying yesterday ..I guess there is a reason he is 5 hours ahead....

Take a moment today to hug someone that you love and tell them that you appreciate them. I would give anything at the moment(especially yesterday) to be able to hug someone and physically feel support. I have given Willie lots of hugs and love but I get so emo that I fear he will sense how upset I am. Just hug someone today for me
