Motorcycle appreciation thread

I love riding motorcycles.
I started off when I was 18 riding a Honda CB500 Four (similar to this one):

When I was about 20 I saved some money and bought a Honda Rebel 450 (similar to this one):

When I graduated I started working and I could really save money for a new bike.
I had to buy this new bike a little earlier than expected as a friend crashed the Rebel, Then I bought my favorite Honda VFR (built 1992). I was 25 at the time:

Since that day I did about 50.000 km a year on this bike, rain or shine. At that time I had met my wife to be and we did everything on this bike. We didn’t have a car back then.
Just after we got married (I was 27) I wanted something more new, so I bought this Honda VFR (built 1996):

Soon after we got married my daughter was born. This meant I didn’t get to use the bike that much anymore. You know, driving kids around should not be done by motorcycle.
Less than one year after this picture was taken, my girl was about one year old at the time, I sold my bike. That day (I was 29) I swore that I would keep on riding bikes (rentals).
Today (I’m 34) my daughter is six years old. I have rented a bike maybe twice after I sold my last one. Maybe I’ll buy one again soon and take my wife for a ride like in the old days.

Please share your stories and pics...

Is your knee actually touching the pavement? That looks scary.

That is why we have knee sliders woot!

I am rather proud of the one handed knee down but as you can see i was not cornering that hard just showboating after a race

Oh hell yeah, loads of times, only once last season but the one before i had 2 the second of which was 140mph with broken ribs and vertibrae. walked away from the big one though.....well sort of...was carried away in a stiff neck on a stretcher .....

Val hates when i say this and will do this face rolleyes but if you ain't falling off then you ain't trying hard enough

This one was an 80mph highside with flames as you can see all was going well till i got a bit hasty with the throttle....showing off again boxed

I am not sure if I should get on the back of a bike with you...I am still deciding.
Though I did enjoy sitting on your baby while it was in stands.

I have a little red Honda Rebel 250. It won't break any records, but it gets amazing mileage (between 70-80 mpg). It's my little daily commuter. I love this thing!

My husband rides a '85 Yamaha 1100 something or other.

Murica: at least it's not Sudan.
