Songs that make you drive fast

Are you ever out driving and find yourself going 100 MPH? You wonder "what the fuck is wrong with me?" but then you realize the music is making you do it. This happens to me all the time. The first one I noticed that had this effect on me was "Willing and Able" right after I got my license. More recent speed enhancers have been "Glass" and "Wilderness" by Joy Division and "Teenage Lobotomy" by the Ramones. I just get so wrapped up in the songs that I can't help myself. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I think the fastest I've ever gone is 90 mph. And it had nothing to do with music. biggrin

Anywho, "In My Time Of Dying" by Led Zeppelin puts the led in my accelerator foot. Bonham's drums ALWAYS kick my ass. It could be "Good Times, Bad Times" too, lawd that swings in double time! And then there's the latter half of "Family Name" and the entire 12" version of "Let's Go Crazy" that keeps the led in my accelerator foot.

I like it very much. biggrin

Also, in teenagers, there is an inverse proportional relationship between the volume of the music and the height of the windows.

In effect: The windows must be rolled down in order for a teenager to listen to the radio loud.

oh oh oh...this just remindede me of the night of the 94 elections...it looked like Diane Feinstien was going to lose her re-election bid...many democrats at our celebration party were sad, depressed and putting blame on clinton...one woman kept repeating "one-term president" over and over again...

anyrate: i drove home that night listening to "Fire in Babylon..." crying and screaming "FIRE!!!"

i got home not even realizing I had driven...i do that more so then driving fast...

Any really loud Prince song that I REALLY like will get me going. Speaking of which, last night I had a dream where I found a little tiny record of Raspberry Beret and I played it - the first time music has ever played out in my dream. So cool.

"I Can't Drive 55" also makes me drive extremely fast, I guess I feel the need to prove Sammy Hagar wrong. Cheesey, I know! confused

TRON - GREAT topic! biggrin
