It's noisy, it tracks in all kinds of germs and crap you may have stepped in outside ...and according to Feng Shui they let in bad chi. lol (But also, according to Feng Shui, you shouldn't even store shoes near a doorway. The chi that enters the house is immediately tainted by the smell and the grime, and can cause sickness as it then flows through the rest of your home.) biggrin

I guess because I have lived in Florida so long that the idea of leaving my shoes outside for roaches and spiders to crawl in them sort of freaks me out.
I am all for taking them off and leaving them in the foyer perhaps.
I usually take mine off soon after I enter the house.
My ex-inlaws had a rule of no shoes in the house because she had very light carpet and did not want dirt in the house.
It always seemed weird for us to stand outside and remove our shoes on the front porch but we did it because it was the rules.

Well, socks are generally allowed. lol Also, I know families that provide strictly indoor slippers for guests.

You have roaches and spiders in your house??

That sucks. I get the occasional spider but I've never even seen a roach outside of a zoo. I don't even think we have roaches in this area.

Nobody wears shoes inside in Finland.
Who the fuck wears shoes inside anyway? You want the dog poo you stepped on outside to be all over your damn floor and carpets? confused
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Cool...I can be down with that. The place I am in now has one of those..I should start making ppl do that. Right now they usually end up by the back door but inside...I hate bugs in my shoes.
