I find meditation definitely helps, but it's like excercise.

When you first get back into the gym after a hiatus, it can be exhausting, painful, and downright unpleasant. Meditation is like training the muscle of your mind so to speak, and the first couple of weeks involves doing nothing but trying to calm the monkey-mind. It's very difficult for me, and can be just as stressful as the stress I'm trying to relieve. falloff

But I have, in the past, been able to meditate and get to points where I see a problem or situation in a completely different light when I meditate upon it.

So you meditate for clarity of mind and then thru that you achieve relief of stress...or you meditate for relief of stress and thru THAT you achieve clarity of mind? Or is it the other way around in reverse?

This question is worse than the other confusing question you asked me last night.

I've read 3 times and have no clue where to proceed.

You just need to meditate on it first... nod

The only company that I seem to have to entertain these days are hookers.
Sometimes, to make 'em feel relaxed, I might try giving 'em a compliment of some kind. Not an over-all blanketed one, but something really catered to that particular ho at that particular time.
Something like,
"Y'know, most people probably couldn't pull off the whole clear heels/bullet-wound scars combo,
but, dang girlfriend....
they actually look good on you.
Really accentuates yo' eyes."
However,
since I can't really ever tell wether her response of an extended awkward silence is because of her years-long accumalated, drug-induced, detachment from reality or just the result of a genuine sense of indifference,
I usually just end up giving the coked-up zombie her money up front.
I figure,
when it comes to relaxation, at this point in her life, that's all the bitch needs.

biggrin biggrin

You know I've been listening to that song for way over a year now and I never get tired of it. For some odd reason either does Meggy falloff, though she's had more 12:59 Lullabies than anyone else alive.
There's just something about the guys' music that is very ummm, I think the word is compelling, or maybe addictive.

We do alot of walking to work off stress.

Music is life and life is music so that always plays a big role in everything
we do. There is always music in our home, whether live or recorded.

When we go out, it is also generally to listen to live music and have a couple drinks. biggrin

At home we play a lot of card games, watch movies, and read a lot..

Maybe someday she'll tell the story behind it. I could do it but it's hers to tell.
They make me happy too. biggrin
