The whole thing is just heartbreaking..that poor little girl sad (where ever she is )

It's been this long, so it's pretty accurate to say she's more than likely dead.

You are right, forensic evidence never lies, but the mother has been carrying it around all the time, on Maddies Cuddle Cat

I read today that she recently washed the toy cat. I now believe that either one or both of the Mc.Canns are responsible for their daughter's disappearance.

I think this editorial in today's Sun newspaper sums-up my misgivings:

'I'm thinking the unthinkable'

By OLIVER HARVEY

MY misgivings began with the lack of emotion shown by the McCanns in those first few days after Madeleine went missing.

No streaming tears, no trembling lips, no sobs of despair.

Now that unease has become an awful gnawing doubt.

It hurts me to say this, but I now fear something is amiss with Kate and Gerry’s story.

I, like many others, have become obsessed as this awful story has unfolded. I even watched the McCanns flying out of Portugal live on TV.

It felt ghoulish and ridiculous - but I didn’t switch channels.

So is it possible the McCanns could bury their own daughter in secret and concoct a huge fiction to fool the world?

One theory in internet chat rooms is this: Madeleine is given too much sedative to help her sleep. She dies, by accident.

The McCanns have to make a snap decision - save their careers and stop the twins being put in care or place themselves with a foreign judiciary.

So they are supposed to have hidden the body for 25 days, hired a car, then disposed of the remains. This, of course is wild conjecture. The McCanns are not charged with any offence.

And for every theory there is a counter-theory. But I have other nagging doubts.

Why did the McCanns not use the baby-sitting service and leave their flat unlocked? Kate has said something about not wanting "to leave them with strangers".

When asked why they left patio doors and windows unlocked, Kate walked off.

They were distressing questions. Nevertheless, she was unwilling to answer them.

Then there is Cuddle Cat, carried everywhere by Kate.

I spoke to a leading forensic scientist this week who expressed concern that the McCanns washed Madeleine’s favourite toy. The one she clutched every night in bed.

He said: "When a child goes missing the last thing parents do is wash something that smells of the youngster.

"They usually keep the child’s room exactly as it is as well, trying to cling to the moment they last saw their precious child."

And what about the lack of tears from the couple?

The couple had been told by experts not to show emotion in case the person believed to have abducted their daughter was watching and getting a thrill from their behaviour.

Gerry’s matter-of-fact blog - sometimes describing the weather and runs on the beach - also seemed odd.

The incessant leaking of alleged evidence by the Portuguese police appears to suggest they are confident of their case.

The McCanns may be blameless, heartbroken parents.

But my doubts - thinking the unthinkable - persist.

I really hope I’m wrong. For the sake of my faith in human nature, I really hope I’m wrong.

His blog is unbelievably glib and blase...

Day 125 - 05/09/2007

We were surprised to find increased media presence in Praia da Luz again today. We were followed down to church, then to the shops and back to our accommodation which is very unusual, apart from the build up to the 100 days. All the excitement seems to be over the results of the recent forensic tests that again have created a huge amount of speculation. There has been no official conformation that the report has been received, or what the tests suggest if anything!

Kate and I went for a run along the coast at lunchtime. It was pretty windy but still warm enough. Later in the afternoon we went to visit a friend of Kate’s who is on holiday in a nearby village with her family. They brought lots of cards from well-wishers at home and we talked a lot about the search for Madeleine. The twins had a great time splashing around in a little inflatable paddle pool, singing songs and being doted on by the older kids.

Very, very odd. neutral

Teacher

TOLD YOU SO!! rolleyes

It's funny none of y'all have mentioned the hairs found in the boot of the rental car - forensic scientists said there were enough hairs in there to prove Madeleine was in the boot of the car, and as previously stated the car wasn't rented until 25 days after her disappearance. The hairs were a positive DNA match to Madeleine, just to clarify.

Im afraid to say, from the day it ahppened I thought the parents had done it and, whilst there is nothing concrete and they are still legally innocent - every day that goes by makes me more and more sure as tehy behave eratically.

Take out of the equation the HORRENDOUS parenting (that they still maintain they did nothing wrong) including giving their kids sleeping tablets (apparently) and leaving 3 young children uanttended in a hotel room to go and get pissed up.

Let slook at the the odd things -

1) They maintain that they could see the room at all times...yet didnt see someone going in and taking their daughter????

2) From day 1 they were right in the medias face, publicity campaigns, catchy logos, famous people appeals, poster campaigns.....but the day before it starts to come out that maybe the parents are involved Mr McCann publicly calls for the media campaign to find his daughter be scaled down considerably.

3) Why did Mr McCann decide to fly home alone just a few days after Maddie went missing?

4) Why did the McCanns allow the media to follow them everywhere except on a nightly walk out of cameras view and along teh beach. The same area that the sniffer dogs went mental when looking for a body.

5) Why wont Kate McCann really let that soft toy out of her sight

6) Who says she went missing when she did - the McCanns were teh last and only people to see her.

7) Why did they never even seem remotely interested when there were 'sightings' of their daughter?

8) How do they explain the whole Renault Scenic bodily fluid thing?

9) Why does mr McCann barely mention his daughter in those blogs?

10 Warner Hotels specifically have a service to look after children to give parents alone time...why not access that service

You know what really pissed me off most about them is that they maintain that they did nothing wrong in leaving those kids except be too innocent in thinking they would be safe. If a young couple in their 20's decided to take their kids on holiday, left them alone to get pissed up - teh media would string them out to dry and the world would hate them..but we're meant to feel sorry for a family that have no problem laughing and joking on TV question times, flying around to meet the Pope

I hope the police clos ethis matter once and for all soon...and I hope for teh McCanns sake that they have had nothing to do with this..the world will not be forgiving for the daughters sake and for the merry dance they have lead everyone on.
