Gypsies

As a child I was fascinated by gypsies. I used to think it was cool that they had brightly coloured caravans and looked like shore leaved pirates. Now they get a bad press for being a general nuisance to society, coming round to housed trying to sell pegs. Last year me and my house mates were accused by a local nutty neighbour of harbouring gypsies in our back yard. It wasnt true I hasten to add.

Lay out your gypsy stories here...

Gypsies set up shop on our school sports pitches and kept several teams from playing for over 2 terms by staying there whilst the shitty council bumbled around being useless and kicking them off. mad

I liked Gypsies until then.

I once heard that Dexys Midnight Runners were the only band that didn't go on tour, they just kept getting moved on.

there was a story a while back about a woman who dragged her kid out of walmart and beat her in the back of the van and it was caught on the outside cameras. It came out that they were gypsies (irish travelers), I never knew they exsisted in the states until then. eek

I wonder what ever happened to that kid? sad

We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.
