I am assuming this is not a thread about the late Sir Alec Guiness who kicked ass as Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi.

The first time I ever got REALLY drunk was on Guiness. Half the people in my little international dorm were from Europe and we went down to this bar that did not card. I was along for the ride, I told them I hadn't really drunken anything alcoholic other than say light beer my best friend had cribbed from his father. They kept going on and on about I had never been "proper drunk" and they ordered me up a Guiness and pretty much challenged my manhood until I drank it. I wasn't crazy about the taste but I liked the trippy feeling so I ordered another and another and...well, let's just say I spent most of the evening talking to this particularly friendly group of fish that were in this large aquarium close to the bar. Then I subsequently went home and threw up things that I truly could not remember eating.

Damn, those were some good times...

my memory of guinness is blurry and in the distant past. but, it was st. patrick's day and i believe the guinness inspired me to eat some of the shamrocks that were on the table, thinking maybe they were like a funky irish salad... falloff

Guinness is my drink. I run up huge bar tabs because of my love for it. And using it for Irish carbombs.

God, I'm about to head to Friday's and demand one now.
This one's for you.
