Write a Poem about ANYTHING

Many a long season in hell,
Ripped to shreds ,like Bacchus, mutilated before the end of harvest,
Plucked my fruit from the vine, the sweat of youth all that’s worthy to sell,
Thus, sifting through the ashes of this broken frame’s past glory,

I, rebirth of the Lazarus heart, as if spoken by John, have a story to tell,
Shamed in to darkness like Dionysus, concubine of my own fatal self-aggrandizing fiction,
Build a protective wall of paperback novels, yet descend their downward spiral like drowning in a well,
Lapping the muck of pissed away potential with parched and stapled tongue,
Trying to kick start the redemption story.

I fuck dogs,
Whilst wearing clogs.
In their ass,
Whilst looking at bass [ed. the fish, numbskulls!]

Soon I finish,
And need a tissue.
I eat a danish,
and muse on issues.

THE DOG DIES A BLOODY DEATH,
FROM WOUNDS I WROUGHT UPON HIS RUMP,
AND SHOULD A VET SEEK I, MACBETH,
HE SHALL FIND NOTHING BUT A HEFTY DUMP.

Never attempt poetry again Spooky.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

Before I gave up on clichéd teenage depression, I wrote this. I hate it.

Underneath my skin,
Beneath the guy you see outside,
Screams a voice I try to hide.
I kept it quiet after things went wrong,
but now I can't control that voice,
It beckons, It taunts - I have no choice.

Love
I tell you, run away
Love
You can't see me this way
Love
Just give me some time
Love
To change my mind

Lock it up, throw the key away;
That bastard isn't going to see the light of day.
Keep it quiet, I thought I held you back;
You're not going to ruin the life I've got back on track.
I forgot all about you, you're something I hate.
I fought you off,You're going to stay away.

Hate
I don't really feel this way
Hate
It's not true
Hate
Just give me some time
Hate
To change my mind.

Give in; I'll give in. I'll let it all happen.
Your favourite protagonist fails at last.
[NEEDS FINISHING FROM HERE]

I never finished it.

I left all my real poetry at school. sad

I wrote two that I won prizes for; one in iambic pentameter on love, and the other a long prose poem about a diamond seller.
