People who saw INLAND EMPIRE...please check in...Poss SPOILERS... GOOD LAWD!!!
Now I'm a fan of David Lynch but good god almighty. He's up to the same stuff. He has weird dialogue, weird camera imagery, Rabbit people for God's sakes. I do have to admit that Laura Dern was fierce in it and so was Grace Zabriskie. I also have to admit that there were a couple of scenes that scared the living hell out of me. But all I have to say is W...T....F!!!!! There I said it. MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! i LOVE this movie.
LOVE. THIS. MOVIE!!! it freaked the hell out of me the first time i saw it and it wigged me out again the second time when i watched it on DVD. i *think* i figured out what the movie is about, but i'm still not quite sure. i think the "real" meaning of the movie is irrelevant. it could be interpreted different ways by different people, and i think that's what lynch does with his films a lot of the time. i think 'inland empire' may be his best film ever.

it's funny how opinions about his films always call up extremes, this movie was received over here as one of his worst.....
I still have to see it.....and I will!

I still have to see it.....and I will! i think whenever reviews for a david lynch movie are sharply divided and polarized between those who love it and those who hate it, then he's doing something right. i usually hate his films the first time i see them, then after a few days i realize i can't stop thinking about it, then i have to see it again, then i realize i love it. they're not easy pills to swallow.

The thing is....I don't know if I loved it or absolutely hated it. Okay, that scene where there's a light on Laura Dern and she walks up to the camera screaming.....I had nightmares. I wouldn't dare to say I always understand his movies (I dare to say I understand Twin Peaks 100%) but they always fascinate me!
