sometimes...

I feel a little too "Flavoristic" on this site. I mean, I like Hole, NIN, etc like the rest of them, but I think that here, when I throw out a GangStarr lyric....it's.....

crickets

Then people start talking about Alannis Morrisette n shit...

And Common's new album is fire, by the way....That would be the rapper guy from Chicago (no, that's Kanye West you're thinking of) that used to date Erykah Badu....She was the one that sang "on and ....oh hell...it's how I look up here...like the one random hip hop kid in a bag of white bread....and I'm white...shit

Where's Jersey when you need him?

You don't want snow, it's a pain in the ass. THat's why I moved to NC. I dislike winter in cold states quite a bit

I think I'd rather deal with cold winters over triple digit summers. I live in SC, and for a while temps. were 100 degrees and up. It's not as hot now, but it was hell for those days. It was so hot one day that I couldn't even touch my steering wheel.....it burned the hell out of my hands. I had to sit and wait with the AC blasting.

Yeah. It's a vanilla fest up in here.

It's also hilariously behind in knowing what's in.
Which is, I guess, part of the charm.

Barbarella Bishop told me a cute Erykah Badu story.

I like Common, his latest is fab...but I'm just not one to go on and on about artists and albums on here. shrug

"It", "it", "it". You must mean the prolific posters.

Even then, you can't claim to know what's in stereos and on iPods. And your reference to everyone here being "behind in the times" doesn't 1. make you look cool/hip/new, or 2. have much to do with the thread's subject. Again, how do you know for sure that a lot of us GD posters aren't passionate about hip hop?

Err, trust me, being cool/hip/new will never be a goal of mine.

And when did a reply on this site ever have to do anything with the subject?
The fact that mine was in the ballpark... ah nevermind.

Carry on.

Agreed. I rarely stay on topic.

But don't claim to know what's in my stereo, either. lol Or anyone else's.

I think I see what Katskrizzle is saying in his original post though.

It comes from a profound inner strength.

Rarely do we delve into depths such as these in out society.

Its really a spiritual thing.
