[Edited 9/5/07 11:41am] all of them... what a charming neighborhood you live in. Do the building have some years on them? Age? Your park looks so peaceful with low population. Do you live in a small town? ![]()

Beautiful place you reside, it has been one of my favorites I have seen throughout the years, here. Thank you for always being so willing to share.

Hi Julie, unfortunately I havent got any pictures of where I live and work to show you. As such, I hope you dont mind but I posted this one. On the face of its nothing but leaves and branches. To me however it has more significance. This sounds a little strange but I took it when I was lying on the grass in a park in Cordoba, Argentina. I took it because it was just an everyday photo which could have been anywhere in the world but to me I knew it would always remind me of where I was, what I was doing and how somewhat sad it was that I will never probably return to that same spot. JD, one thing is certain... and I have realized for years. You see the fine details of a moment. This photo and words of personal meaning do not surprise me one bit. To be self-actualizing is (to me) an empowering experience. Just like the moment you expressed above. To recognize this moment, the trees and exact moment and see the similarities as well as the vast differences incredible and quite honestly, very moving to me. However, don't be sad, but celebrate that you even had the pleasures of being exactly there. Life will have more spots to discover. If you ever wish to return and it was meant to be... I believe it will be.

Do you work in the hospital too? The corporate world? Nice place for a retreat. Clear and quiet, it seems. Arizona is not as green as these place I am seeing. Beautiful areas and truly many beautiful part of the United States.
I am not too fond of our city... not really my ideal place to live. However there is an endless amount of beauty alway within reach and I know just how to find these places. I will soon show a few images I have either taken recently or not too long ago. My camera is always with me. ![]()

my attempts from today. i was trying to capture some diversity but could not bring myself to just snap pictures of people! i chickened out so many times today lol
the store where i buy all my phone cards i could buy frozen beef tongue there too if i wanted but the woman on the counter didn't want me to photograph inside
a beautiful young woman walking home from the highschool that is just a few blocks from my house. many times with kids her age you can not tell who's lived here all her life from one that has newly immigrated. it's the parents who you will find wearing traditional clothing and speaking wonderfully sounding exotic languages.
my local grocery store. i need to get a basket on my bike so it's easier to bring groceries home lol. there is a big push towards reusable shopping bags, hence the display on the right.
my street. i tried to get one of the bike in the frame on the nearby bikepath but it wasn't working lol.

[Edited 9/5/07 20:02pm] Awe, I am somewhat familiar to Laguna Beach area. We were just there and stopped by Huntington Beach. How is the water quality at Laguna? I love the ocean, it puts me in a spell. But it is sad to see the pollution and warning signs at times. I do love California, especially northern California where Jana lives (yes, I am waiting Jana).
I love Much of my closet is Mossimo. Do you also work in a hospital? Do you walk around your neighborhood often? ![]()

I also found myself today hesitating to take pictures, due to people being around. But I believe I might have some I can pull up for the time being, that I may wish to share. Let me see... now I must search. Any suggestions? I will try to attend to the list of ideas I began with, which was totally random and done quickly.
I thank each one of you for sharing what you have shared so far. It's very educational. I mean, don't you feel it is a different way to travel the world, through the eyes of another and what they see each day in their everday lives? I do.
Emm, do you walk to the grocery store? Reuseable shopping bags, EXCELLENT! Environmentally conscious, I love Canada! The grocery store is very similar to the ones I have shopped in, in Calgary. I really love Canada. ![]()

Ok, time-out for me tonight. I will post some pictures tomorrow, if that is ok. Long day at work and some down time sounds so nice to me. Especially after seeing what all of you have shared here. I would love to see more and hear what many of you have to say. Both here and from across the seas.

View from the parking garage at work
Which I have seen many of these (all taken from the same place), I actually will sit and wait for the sun to go down when the weather is nice, and when I get out of work.
The freeway (on a Sunday)
One grocery area
Called...
And when I want to get away, this is just a short drive away (whenever I want), away from the city... beautiful places are endless here, I believe. I will sit here and drink coffee or a beer and reflect, quite often. The city does not appeal to me at all.

Here in Phoenix, Arizona we really don't have many skyscrappers and our layout is really flat, but spreads in many different directions. It is a huge city, with many other smaller cities connected, yet there is no break-ups.

No matter where you go, there are always mountains that enclose our valley area, and when people come to visit, they usually marvel at our mountains or continuous mountains in all directions. They are not hills.
Unlimited hiking, absolutely... which will be what I share next, but later. I have to get ready for work. ![]() [Edited 9/6/07 7:05am]
