I think there are levels and gradations of being in love. My early loves were more immature. Now, "being in love" means somethng else. It's always growing and always expanding. For me, it's not like you hit a point and there it is. It changes through life. I have a wide definition that includes a lot of different feelings and characters I've encountered. | |

There can be a difference between feeling comfortable enough around a person to belch or do anything for that matter but loving someone can be something different. I have been with someone that felt totally comfortable around me to do most anything but I am not sure that he really ever loved me- we mistook the comfort as love...in our case anyways.

...I know exactly what you mean here, as I've been in the same situation...  ...There are a multitude of things besides love that make us want to enter a relationship with someone...most of them aren't very good reasons, though.

You nailed it....I've only been truly in love once, though, so I am hardly the expert. And I am one of the oldest people on prince.org, so my take on love is probably a while lot different from that of others here.  "Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. The first time I fell in love I had a gut feeling like, "this one is the one". you just know. The person was different than all the rest I had dated (which were few) but I knew, I just knew because it felt so right. Too bad I got duped in the end ...
