Well, ya know, that song has a banjo in it. smile Seriously, it does. It fits right in, really, being an African invention. Though the stereotypes of the banjo are hillbilly-ish and have been for a long, long time, it doesn't have hillbilly roots in terms of its origins and who was originally using it.

"One Nation Under A Groove" is the only Funk (or R&B/Soul song for that matter) song that I can think of using a banjo. Someone chime in if you know of any others.

That's kinda cool. biggrin

Now see?!!! That is one reason why I love u...I was thinking the same thing...many dont know that Martin is a virtuoso on the banjo. They also dont know about the arrow head thing..and he created the catch phrase "well excuuuse me!"

I really have to make it a point to find this movie and watch it. Deliverance and The Producers are two movies I have never seen.

Deliverance RUINED Ned Beatty's career... he was never the same after that.
