MP3 eating computer virus threatens fans music collections A computer virus that targets MP3s has turned up online, according to computer industry experts. The worm - called W32. Delete music - goes through an infected user's hard drive deleting all the MP3s it finds. It also looks for any MP3s on any external drives and memory cards attached to the machine. The memory card can then spread the worm to any other computer it is put into.

its about time something like this came along, and yes there are people out there who rip their CDs onto their hard drive, but the real reality of this is that the majority of people illegally download music and to an extent is putting said artist out of pocket, sure they dont make much cash from selling CDs anyway but how would u like it if ur boss came up to u and said ur not getting paid this week for some bullshit reason, which essentially is what downloading music off P2P programs is doing!
And to those people get a job, or if u have a job dont be a cheap ass and go support the bands u listen to if u want them to keep making music Receiving transmission from David Bowie's nipple antenna. Do you read me Lieutenant Bowie, I said do you read me...Lieutenant Bowie

This is more of a hoax to get people to go to that hacking site than a warning to protect you. Threat AssessmentWild. Wild Level: Low Number of Infections: 0 - 49 Number of Sites: 0 - 2 Geographical Distribution: Low Threat Containment: Easy Removal: Easy DamageDamage Level: Medium Deletes Files: May delete all .mp3 files from the compromised computer. DistributionDistribution Level: Low Target of Infection: Copies itself to all drives on the compromised computer. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

hehe its not really irrelevant, think about it tho, and this "virus" thing is old news (to me nyway) if record companies came up with this its their way of combating illegal downloading of songs/albums/etc which generally are MP3s.
But yeah it is a bit off topic and its something that needs to be done but cant really be controlled Receiving transmission from David Bowie's nipple antenna. Do you read me Lieutenant Bowie, I said do you read me...Lieutenant Bowie
