Cell phone lock up.  We just had a power outage ( Its 108 outside) Anyway, I went to use my cell phone and it had crashed... Its been locked up for 2 days. Im getting rid of it... Anybody use any other PDA style phones they havent had problems with?
Treo is a great phone with the acception of the damn crashes. | |

You can't update the software even?  Can you call the SP and have them remote-update it? | |

U could phone the cell phone makers and they will give u an unlock key (numbers) I've had 2 do that myself is the past  | |

My 8100pearl did that, had to replace the fucker...kicked up a helluva stink and they fed exed my one next day....been sweet ever since. | |

Happened to me and I didnt know my pass key. I hit SOS and I got 911 
I had to call the phone company to unlock it. "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

Well, the software on board the Treo is windows... all I have to do is reset it in the back and its fine but the problem is you just never know when it is locked up... there are no signs... Someone told me last night they had called it ... 9 That was my clue) but it went over my head. | |

When my TREO crashes I just take the battery out and put it back in.

Actually, I have done that and this is the 3rd so it is a software issue... Jen might be on to something. I might be able to get a software patch.... | |

Actually, I have done that and this is the 3rd so it is a software issue... Jen might be on to something. I might be able to get a software patch.... I think WM is up to v7 now, i will have a look in the office tomorrow and see if it can be flashed locally, if it can i will zip the file to you | |

I mean even though it's got standalone windows? Then you might be able to update it on your own too, search for software
