Had it 4 years ago.I also had septoplasty surgery done at the same time. I have heard since that it is not a good idea to go in and disturb the sinuses because of the membrane.
I don't know. I was much better after I healed for about 6 months.
I think it is best to find out what is causing the sinus issues. I found allergy shots to give me the most relief.
It all depends on your situation.

Thanks for the input. I got bad inflamation going on up there. Using the sprays and pills. Maybe I'll talk to my doctor about allergy shots.

well if you have severe allergies it might be causing the problem.
I had my tonsils removed when I was 19 because of chronic infections- then the allergist told me it was mainly an allergy issue with me.
I have to use saline nasal sprays daily.

If you had sinus surgery, obviously, whatever treatment you had prior, wasn't working. You didn't state your condition and reason for surgery.
The bad inflammation and sprays were before surgery, and didn't work? you had chronic sinusitis?

www.humed.com/humc_ency/a...tiscc.html · Cached page. This site I couldn't get into just now, but would be a good source.

I'm checking for the stats on results of sinus surgery for chronic inflammation.....the stats look good, it's a matter of months before you see results, though. 75-90% success.

Posting a site I was hesitant to at 1st: it's a sinus surgery clinic with useful info....I prefer more objective data. Not that any of this is wrong.....(Web MD had little info)

I added another link. (I posted it at 1st, then removed it to verify stats) Generally, I don't like the source of info to be from someone who provides a service you're investigating. The link I re-posted is from a clinic that has board certified sinus/ENT surgeons. The comparative data on 1st blush holds up . Success seems to look pretty good.

there it is.

Here's something that's interesting:

http://www.sciencedaily.c...212628.htm

Sinusitis is a cause for chronic fatigue!
I could spend all day looking this up. The photo link is the best, so far.

We need a separate "Health & Wellbeing" forum.
