I helped unload all of his belongings last night (I can't believe they called me to help at 10pm ) and tonight we had an official welcome to Mpls dinner, with Darin, Anxy, violett, gangstafam and myself. We went out for Ethiopian and had a veritable feast!!

He's stated before that he never felt like he had a support system in Chicago, and in Minneapolis, nothing could be further from the truth.

i'm in the midst of unpacking and putting together furniture and all that fun stuff right now, and this is my first official org break as a minnesotan!

so far it feels like a long, extended, somewhat surreal org invasion. i'm sure after my first week of my new job, that feeling will change substantially.

till then, i'm getting ready to head into downtown MPLS tomorrow morning for my first day of work, and i have a beret packed and ready to toss skywards in a fit of glee.

I can recommend some good places in Minneapolis to go to.

Duplex restaurant and winebar: good inexpensive gourmet food and romantic ambiance

Kitty Cat Klub: good lounge atmosphere, cute patio, comfortable vibe.

Nyes Polanaise: Good polka atmosphere and combination of ages. Perogies.

Herkimers: They make their own German style beer and have great mini veggie burgers

If you want to venture over to St. Paul

Cafe Latte: has the best cheese cake ever

Moscow On The Hill: Is fun on the weekends, they have an accordian player that goes around the tables

Im sure ANX has whored around that town looong before he moved there
