i'm so numb right now my head hurts. massive heart attack. she was only 65, but had a lot of health problems. diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma and was dialysis. part of me feels relieved that she no longer has these afflictions to deal with, but the selfish part of me wished she could be here forever.

i just wanted to talk a a little.

Oh my! I am so very sorry for your loss. I don't know what to say. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I can't imagine the loss of a mother. Recently I thought of my life without my mother and I felt utter emptiness. I thought of that foundational contentment and comfort my mothers essence brings me. I thought of the hope and grand outlook my mother gives me. I thought of my base, my raw self my mother cultivated. I thought of my confidant and my nurturer. Even though it has gradually changed over the years into her needing my nurturing and her ambivalence towards mortality while it creeps upon her family. Her friends. I have treasured every influence she's had in my life. It would be a great loss and I don't know if I could ever fully move on. I think her spirit would forever bring tears to my eyes. But even still I am blessed to have ever had the privilege to know my mom let alone love her even if it were an instant. I feel utterly powerless and grateful to have even known her. I know nothing anyone says can speak to the gravity of your heart. I mean this all in tenderness. God be with you in your mourning. Your mother was trully a wonderful human being to have ever been created!

When My dad died. It was real hard. I did not cry. But then a certain song came on the radio and it made me tear up. You will never forget them. Certain smells and sounds and voices will remind you of her. I still think of my dad. Sometimes it's happy thoughts and sometimes it's just sad and you miss them. All I can say is hold on to the loved ones around you. Remember her. In the best she would have wanted you too. It will, make you sad for a while. But she would want you to feel at peace. It's hard. It's just is. Sorry for your loss.

i'm wearing her diabetic alert band now. she had it on 10 hours ago when she was alive. i went to her house to get the family dog and bring her to my house because i don't think my sister will be in any condition to handle her, and i just got on my mom's bed, smelled her sheets and just cried and cried.
i'm just kinda going through songs on my hard drive that make me think of her...sadie by the spinners, hard times by ray charles...this is just so hard.
