Earthquakes still scare me, I don't think I could ever get used to them. But I have not felt one in a long time, its been at least a few years for me and I hope it stays that way.

The quake itself is a little surreal, but the way the structure you're in sways like a boat on water afterwards is just an icky icky feeling that you never forget!

in 18 years in the midwest i've never so a tornado

in 8 years in So Cal i've yet to feel an earthquake.

possibly if I lived in a big city with tall buildings, I'd be more scared. In my hometown there really are not many tall buildings. Could also be that I have heard the old "california is gonna fall in the ocean" joke for so long, it just does nothing for me.
