I've fiddled with it before, like changing the lighting and shit. But the zombie stuff opened my eyes to a ton of new tricks.

Now I can't stop saving pics here there and everywhere and just altering faces, making changes...making not so attractive people attractive. lol

I can't stop.

You'll like this then.

It's a short video about how our idea of beauty has become distorted (by photoshop, etc.). It's pretty amazing.

Ya, I've seen that before.

I wish photoshop was real. Like instead of putting on our makeup in the morning we photoshop ourselves.

sigh

Has anyone tried GIMP?

It's freeware, and suprisingly powerful. I prefer photoshop cause I've used it for alot longer, but GIMP is a great solution for folks who 1) don't want to use an illegal copy of Photoshop or 2) Don't want to shell out 700 bucks. lol

But GIMP has really matured into a very powerful editing tool. eek

with a hideous, hideous UI and horrendously confusing option titles.

GIMPshop - a mod of GIMP to give it a UI almost identical to Photoshop's is much better.

lol because most people who own it here have it illegally, it's immensely powerful, and companies make millions off dollars from its abilities.

falloff

I don't care for the GIMP UI, but it's easy enough to figure out and get around.
And a couple of filters I like better than the stock ones on Photoshop.

It's the fact that GIMP is still a bit unstable that I don't like. It's frozen on me a few times doing simple things. But other than that, for freeware it's amazingly mature.

It also handles colour correction in a weird way, and often gets it off (if you're trying to do something serious) - which is very strange/ironic considering the Open Source Community's almost otherwise nazi-esque support of standards.

Given the state of your body/face i would suggest that it would be a good investment

This really isn't about my support of GiMP, but more about my stance on Year Zero isn't it?
