The most beautiful Sunday..... My cousin passed away last Wednesday and it's hit everyone in my family. My mother and aunt are very close but their relationship with my uncle,their brother, has nearly nonexistant. My cousin's passing brought them together and that says something about my cousin. She was a peacemaker, so this was her last mission, it seems.
The following days after she died, I tried not thinking about it. But that Sunday, I was kinda avoiding going to church because it was going to remind me that my big cousin who I've always looked up to, was.....gone. I got my stuff together and walked out the house. The sky was bright with not a cloud. In California, that means it's going to be hot, but today, it was a cool breeze. BEAUTIFUL. I looked up to the sky, and said "Kelly, I'm really gonna miss you, cuz" and just smiled. I really miss her  "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world." |
