Um, it's not that important but most of my mates respect him in some way or another - even if they think he's a freak. One of them used to rib me relentlessly but this is someone who thinks Robbie Williams is the Second Coming. Yeah, I made a mistake.

Like others have said, though, it's MY passion. Not that they can't share in it - I'd love it if they did - but they have their passions and I have mine. In some ways - fammish as this sounds - I am quite reluctant to even go there with them... that would be like opening up my bare naked soul for everyone to see. As I explained to my housemates: the night P announced the O2 concerts, the press conference was shown on tv. *I* was excited yet, immediately, the groans happened. I had to go and watch it by myself. Why ruin something that means so much to somebody else? I don't mind a bit of pisstaking but I told them it was like telling a mother her newborn child is 'ugly'. You just don't do that.

Okay, that's a bit of a leap - and I haven't explained that in quite the way I'd like - but point being: piss off. I just think it's kinda sad, and cruel, to ruin other peoples' enjoyment of things.

I can't remember not having friends who liked Prince.

But even if they all suddenly stopped I'd have all you fine people.

ok well heres my little thoughts. I know a lotta people. They dont like Prince..They think im a freak for liking prince but thats ok ive put up with that for 18 yrs. I just would like to have a significant other. someone reliable that understands Prince music. They dont have to be a massive fan but im fed up wif people saying to me ...Why do u like the midget purple freak etc . Ive given up trying to justify myself. But it is lonely going to Prince meets urself and not being able to go to concerts etc coz its too expensive too go on ur own.
