Need Microsoft Word and/or Paint help! I'm putting together a book for my niece's birthday and I need to print 8"x 8" sheets with centered lettering (see sample below).
What I'm looking for is the most efficient way to lay out the page and print them with a border (to speed cutting board work) on standard 8.5" x 11" sheets. Much thanks in advance!

It'd just be trial and error for me, honestly. That's how I do most things. I'll screw around in Word a bit and will report back. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

Go to File, Page Setup. Click on the Paper Size tab and change it to 8x8. Keep posted for centering the text... Oh shit, my hat done fell off

Create your border under the Format tab, obviously.
For the centered text, insert a text box under the Insert tab. Drag your mouse to create it, then right-click on the border of the box and select 'Format Text Box'. Click on Layout, and under the 'Horizontal alignment' section, select Center. Click on Advanced, and under the Picture Position tab, select the field next to Alignment and choose Centered from the left drop-down menu, and choose it relative to Page in the right drop down menu. Click 'Ok', and your text box should be centered to the page. I printed it out on an 8.5 x 11 and the border is 8x8 with centered text. Let me know if this doesn't work. Will give it a try! The text box will have a border. If you don't want one, just right-click on the edge of the text box again and under the Colors and Lines tab, click the drop-down menu under "Line" and choose No Line.
