No one said life is fair. Look, it's not a matter of either of us doing some huge grievous thing wrong. Most arguments boiled down to a lack of communication. I didn't have to apologize for the actual act. I could apologize for a reaction or a cross word. The important thing though, was to make an apology. Marriage IS a two-way street. But that doesn't mean that every situation is equal. Maybe she has to say "I am sorry" 95% fewer times than me. But there are things the wife has to do that the husband doesn't. It all evens out, as long as there is communication. And that is what "I am sorry" is all about. Try it with your next girlfriend and see if it doesn't eliminate the argument instantaneously. | |
