Your neighbours

We have very odd neighbours either side to us...

The Nortons

Janet - The mother. A real battleaxe. I don't know what she does for a living but she's probably Nurse Ratchett from 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest'. Brash and unpleasant she's always having a go at her fella Steve. She also makes a real annoying sound when she clears her throat. She always does it. Kinda like a 'uh huh' sound.

Steve - Tall and pasty. Looks a bit like the snooker player Peter Ebdon. A bit of a wet blanket to be honest. He's a vet.

The kids - Weird. Never say hello or look you in the eye whenever I pass them by.

Roger and Alison

Great couple although Alison chucked Roger out a couple of weeks ago. He was totally bonkers. He used to wander into the garden every morning stark bollock naked. I told my Mum and she freaked. They are argued a lot and you could often here him shout 'I am not a madman!' which made us all crack up laughing. When someone says something like that then they clearly are.

They also rather strangely had a rabbit called Daniel. An odd name for a rabbit. My Dad used to sing the Elton John song of the same name to it when it's running about.

Yours....

sigh I've been daydreaming about my next house-with no neighbors in sight

My neighbors:

The lesbians:
They moved in about 3 months ago. The crazy Christians used to live there.
The first day we moved in the crazy christian came over and asked "Do you believe in God?" eek Yeah, hello to you too!
As for the lesbians, they are a little odd. They have this obsession with plants. They have lots and lots of plants everywhere. Green plants. They dig up the nice green grass,to plant green plants. They cut down nice green trees to plant green plants. Its really tacky. She's out digging up grass as I type this.
They have 3 rat dogs that bark and they're always getting loose.

The new people:

Dont know much about them. I went on vacation a few weeks ago. When I returned, they were already moved in. I dont see them much which is good.(knock on wood)
They have 3 HUGE dogs that kindly wake me up with their barking every morning mad

My upstairs nighbor William is a bit of a hippy and is a landscape artist for a local flower/plant place. He's a genuinely nice guy who would give me the shirt off his back if I needed it and keeps our backyard fairly cute and green.

I don't know my neighbors on either side as we pretty much keep to ourselves, all midwestern and quiet-like. Though, the neighbor on my side of the house once came over to tell me I'd left the headlights on on my car. Very nice of her. nod

I should move to Minne. Its been on my mind lately, but I'm afraid of the winter storms.

One day I forgot I left my little sprinkler thing on. I went out at 2 am and it was still going. I wish someone would have told me pout

To all the local hippy hang-outs. I don't know anything about them, though.
smile

Honestly, the first weekend I moved in he was hanging in the backyard when I got home with my friend Katy and we all ended up drinking a few beers together and watched the Cure trilogy dvd and the next day he knocked on my door with a bunch of Cure singles to give me that he'd collected when he was a college radio DJ.
He's a really nice guy. smile

My grandmother lives on one side of our house, so of course we love that!

But on the other side we have a family that seems to have the nicest father but we found out not too long ago he is extremely violent with his family confused

My current neigbours are both landscape artists and have the least well-kept garden in the neighbourhood. It's the same syndrom with my cousin who is a photographer but never takes any pictures in his private life.

I have a neighbor who refuses 99% of the time to speak to me. But, his wife does 99% of the time. lol

Across the street from me lives someone who I believe to be a professional cheerleader. love She has every right to be a cheerleader. Wise occupational choice. And, I bet she's a wizard at math and all. Anyhoo, she's visited quite frequently by someone I believe to be her professional football player boyfriend. disbelief Alas, she and I never have spoken... I like my limbs unbroken. (hey, that rhymed.)

And, two houses down, lives a gentleman who happens to be the cousin of one of my best friends from another state. Life is funny.

My neighbors are Lebanese and they are cool. It's a a husband and wife and 2 teenage boys. They boys fight a lot and it sounds like they push each other down the stairs shrug. Other than that commotion, they are alright.

But the neighbors across the street are a different story.....Ghetto sad

I for the past 10 years have lived in the same house I grew up in. My parents passed away 10 years ago, and my family moved in. It is a quiet little dead end street with the same elderly folks who have lived here since the beginning of time. So, almost everyday I get reminded of "when you were a youngster, you did this" and "when you were a youngster, you did that"
It's a walk down memory lane everyday.

All my neighbours a pretty cool, we wave or speak for the most part whenever we see each other...well everyone except for the ol'bitty next door. She ONLY speaks and interacts with people who look like her. For the most part everyone pretty much keeps to themselves doing their own thing.

old lady across the street and two doors down... neighborhood complainer.
she's alright though, i just am sure as hell glad she isn't my immediate neighbor! she knows everything. how long does it take to cross the street? 10 seconds? i went for a walk and the next day she commented that she had seen me cross the street. i take her out to buy bedding plants in the spring.

kitty corner behind me... old irish couple. he calls me "girl" with the remnants of his accent and we share flowers and garden produce in the summer.

beside me is a rental house... young couple there now with a young dog. first fuckin night they were here they left the little thing outside to get tangled up in the bushes, bark and shiver mad

on the corner on the other side of the side street is a guy who waves when he pulls up or leaves in his car but he closes the garage door and i never ever see him otherwise lol.
doveShe couldn't stop crying 'cause she knew he was gone to stay dove

I don't really know the neighbors to the south of me, I know they have one daughter and that's about it. They don't talk much and are very weird. lol

The neighbors to the north of me, we know pretty good, Matt & Christina, they have come over with their two kids for bbq's etc...

The house we use to live in, we had great neighbors...they actually became some of our best friends, going out, sharing bdays, was a good time.
