OMG my friends house is the same...cat pee, cigarette smoke and something I cant quite name and dont think I care to try and identify, and I told her it smelled too when she said she thought it might. Then she bought some room deoderiser I recomended after my supposedly spayed cat went on a spraying spree....but whatever is in her house overrode it lol

Usually hitting the place with Febreeze and unscented Oust does the trick, along with cleaning like crazy. Using a Hepa filter in your vac makes a big difference too.

not sure if febreeze has it too but there
was a consumer program on describing how
the "odor neutralizers" don't actually act
by neutralizing odors, but rather they
neutralize your smell receptors. seemed
kind of "agent orangey" to me (bad analogy i know)
and haven't bought one since.

whoa!

i hate spraying ANY chemical in the air

usually I make a mixture of water and vinegar or lemon juice for cleaners or food grade peroxide because I cant stand bleach and those sort of things

everyone's house has a smell whether is pleasent or stinky.... but i didn't know my house had a smell until i went off to campus and came back.. and went to my room... and it smelled like soap... or steamy water...

well my room is right next to the bathroom and my lil brother leaves the bathroom door open after taking a long hot shower.. and then my mom leaves my door room open.. and all the hot steamy soapy shower steam gets into my room and then my room has this soap smell... it doesnt smell bad.. but at times its annoying to me.....
