Has anyone tried the Master Cleansing or Lemonade Diet?

I really want to try this, it will be a struggle not to eat for 10 days but I've heard good things about it. Anyone here try it? I figure I need to save as much money as possible for my big trip so it's the perfect time! I won't drink booze or eat! hahaha!!

MASTER CLEANSER

What is Master Cleanser or Lemonade Diet?

Stanley Burroughs devised the lemonade diet about 40 years ago primarily to treat ulcers in a short span of 10 days. The Master Cleanser, Lemonade fast or Lemonade diet is a liquid mono-diet that cleanses and detoxifies the body as it stimulates healthy tissue growth.

The Master Cleanser consumption pattern comprises of fresh lime or lemon juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper mixed with water and had 6-12 times a day. An herbal laxative tea is taken twice a day, and no other food is consumed. This regimen can be followed for 10 days, and may also be safely extended to 40 or more days, depending upon a person’s physical condition.

Contrary to popular belief that the master cleanser was designed for weight loss it was originally created to cleanse the system and flush out toxins effectively. Nevertheless, Stanley Burroughs endorses his diet also as “a reducing diet which is superior in every way to any other system because it dissolves and eliminates all types of fatty tissue. Fat melts away at the rate of about two pounds a day for most persons - and without any harmful side effects.”

How do the Ingredients make this diet work?
Here is a look at the essential components and their inherent benefits that make the master cleanser/lemonade diet a popular one:

* Lemons are known to be one of the richest sources of minerals and vitamins. Lemons also help loosen and break up mucus in the body.
* Maple Syrup is a balanced form of positive and negative sugars and must be used; no substitutes are to be included in the mixture. Grade B maple syrup is highly recommended for its taste and mineral content. The variety of vitamins and minerals in maple syrup include: potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, iron, copper, phosphorus, sulfur, chlorine and silicon. Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, C, nicotinic acid and pantothenic acid are also present.
* Cayenne Pepper breaks up mucus and increases warmth by building blood and acts as a cleanser for the digestive, respiratory, and circulatory systems. It has been popularly used by herbalists to treat a wide range of problems and to enhance the effectiveness of many other herbs.

Benefits
The key benefits that have been achieved by adhering to the master cleanser regime are:

* The Master Cleanser helps dissolve and eliminate toxins and congestion that have formed in any part of the body
* The Master Cleanser also helps cleanse the kidneys and the digestive system in totality.
* The Master Cleanser helps purify the glands and cells throughout the entire body.
* The Master Cleanser helps eliminate unusable waste and hardened material in the joints and muscles
* The Master Cleanser helps build a healthy blood stream
* The Master Cleanser helps relieve pressure and irritation in the nerves, arteries and blood vessels.
* The Master Cleanser helps preserve youth and vitality regardless of age.
* The Master Cleanser helps restore healthy skin as the rest of the body is cleansed. Boils, abscesses, carbuncles, and pimples may all disappear by adhering to the diet.
* The Master Cleanser does away with all mucus diseases such as colds, flu, asthma, hay fever, sinus and bronchial troubles as they are rapidly dissolved and eliminated from the body, leaving the system free from allergies which may cause difficult breathing and clogging of the sinus cavities.

Master Cleanser Recipe
Follow the simple regime devised by Stanley Burroughs to cleanse the system or for weight loss within a short span of time through the Master Cleanser regime. Here is how it works:

Combine the following ingredients to make the master cleanser drink:

* 2 tbsp lemon or lime juice (1/2 lemon)
* 2 tbsp of pure grade B maple syrup
* 1/10 tsp cayenne pepper (red) or to taste
* 12 oz of purified water (very warm)

Estimate the quantity one would like to drink per day and prepare accordingly. Intake may vary from six to twelve glasses of the lemonade daily during the waking period. It is advisable not to vary the amount of lemon juice per glass and be sure to drink at least six glasses of lemonade a day. One can drink more water, if so desired. Incase of hunger pangs just have another glass of lemonade. It is advisable not to take any food during the full period of the fast. The lemonade is already a food in liquid form.

As the toxins mobilize the side effects crop up. Such side effects as one proceeds with the diet include:

* Hunger pangs
* Tiredness and Aches
* Pains
* Mental Irritability
* Nausea

It is advisable to take herbal laxative tea each evening to enable bowel movement at least two to three times a day. Otherwise, the waste tends to stay in the body leading to tiredness and other problems. Apart from this, it also required to drink a salt water solution comprising of two teaspoons of non-iodized sea salt and a full quart of water. This will induce bowel movements.

It is important to remember that a good healthy body is a result of healthy food intake while a body inflicted by diseases is a result of incorrect and unhealthy food intake. When disease strikes, there is no better strategy than adhering to a lemonade diet which provides a quick fix solution to cleanse and revitalize the body.

lol I know it sounds awful but I really want to see if I can do this. My skin has been acting up (eczema) and I've been drinking too much. After the Labor Day weekend I'm going to start. If I make it 5 days I'll be ok with it, but if I can do 10 I will be very proud of myself.

Ya I know, but I'd never ever have a colonic done. Nobody is getting near my ass with a big tube and water! shake

I'll try this crap and see how I do. Maybe I should just start off with 5 days as my goal so it's not so impossible.

Don't take advice from orgers when concerning matters as important as starving your body ofessential energies, mineral and vitamins. Speak to your GP, Seriously. I would gamble my cock that they would frown upon it and advise against doing it.

I've read a lot about it and I know a couple girls who have done it. They were hungry but they were very happy with the results. I think the hardest part is the isolation, you can't really go out if you don't have the will power...and I certainly do not! I'm really hoping it will help with my skin issues.

Some people love that shit (no pun intended). They say it gets rid of all the bugs in your colon. If I have bugs in my colon we've been getting along just fine and they can stay there!

Hmm...tell you what, dahlink...I'll start this lemonade diet cleanser doohickey on Friday, and by Tuesday when you start I'll have been on it for 4 days...so I can either cheer you on or tell you "HELL, no!" lol lol

Seriously, though, I've been wanting to do a fast for several months now, but just haven't for various reasons...maybe this is a sign that I should finally get on it. nod

Just be careful Carrie, listen to your body and stop if it starts screaming...detoxing is good but this seems a little extreme to me.
